Release Notes

The toolbox gets bigger with this release; unfortunately there was no time to add serious improvements to the OptGroup and LiveGrid but there will be a special release in the near future were the entire toolbox will get improved.
  1. OptGroupDropDownList & OptGroupListBox: externders for ASP.NET DropDownList and ListBox controls which support the input optgoup attribute;
  2. LiveGrid: wrapper over Rico's js grid with a continuous scroll experience supported by an out-of-the-box Ajax requests;
  3. DynamicImage: an alternative to the ASP.NET 2.0 beta control, it can do all the ASP.NET Image knows to do and more; it has an Image generation service as support;
  4. GradientButton & CaptchaImage: two DynamicImage usages;
  5. ImageCheckbox: a highly themable checkbox, with API on client-side but also fully featured on server-side;
  6. Rating: a rating that same as the Checkbox is highly themable and with API on client-side;
  7. Upload: a very handy upload control where you can choose multiple sources at one time; some nice js animation rise the web site design flavor.

There are few tips for some of the controls usage when they are integrated in web apps:
  • for the LiveGrid demo you need to get the AdventureWorks database and modify the web.config connection string;
  • all controls supported by image generation service (DynamicImage, GradientButton and CaptchaImage) are automatically registered in web.config if the designer is used, but when they are instantiated in code behind they need manual http handler registration.

There are 2 available downloads:
  1. Release binaries
  2. Demo solution (include the sources)
